Home tie draw in FA Vase first qualification round

The draw for the first qualification round has delivered a home match against Doncaster based Rossington Main from Division 1 of the North East Counties League. Rossington finished at the wrong end of their league last season but with a new management team due to be put in place imminently they will be an unknown quantity. Link to rossingtons web site -

The game will be played on Saturday 8th September 2007 at Brocstedes Park and will be Ashton's first forray in the competition. The winners of this tie will then go on to play at Congleton on the 22nd September, which will be a return to familiar pastures for Club skipper Steve Rothwell.
