Cup final defeat for Youth team

Ashton's youth team went down to a last minute winner by Bolton County in the Furness Building Society LFA under 18 final last Monday night at LFA Headquarters in Leyland

Without playing any where near the team's potential Ashton took the lead with a Wayne Smith penalty before Bolton fought back with the equaliser and then the last gasp winner to deny Ashton.

The team must now focus quickly on the North West Youth Alliance League as they are still in prime position to take the title if the fixture back log does not get in the way.
