Youth manager sought by Ashton Athletic FC
In particular it is hoped to push on from the tremendous achievement of the under 18 squad who squeezed past Altrincham FC to win the North West Youth Alliance League Championship last season, whilst also reaching the final of the Furness Building Society sponsored U18 Lancashire County Cup.
The Club is now seeking to recruit a new under 18’s Manager/Coach to take charge of this year’s crop of young talent, backed up by the Club’s existing Youth co-ordinator and other administrative support.
With up to 10 youth teams having been operating at the Club for several seasons, and youth development now well established at the club, Athletic are moving towards achieving Charter Standard within the next 12 months and with it, hopefully a continual stream of players through to the Vodkat North West Counties League side. The Club offers excellent facilities with an ever improving ground and superb training venues throughout the year.
The new Youth Manager, working closely with the open age management, would take a pivotal role in implementation of the Club’s long term development plan. The Club aims to enable all players at the Club be given the opportunity to achieve their potential and hopefully progress to the first and reserve teams.
The voluntary position will have the chance to defend the NWYA title league cup competitions as well as having another crack at the Lancashire County Cup, not to mention the chance to progress through the early stages of the FA Youth Cup, and face Football League opposition.
Interested parties should ideally hold a minimum Level 2 FA Coaching qualification and should contact the Club’s General Manager David Powell 07770 696747.
