Final arrangements made for pre season

Ashton's pre season preparations have now been finalised with a good mix of friendlies along side the usual Goldline Trophy competition matches.

The matches get underway this Saturday 19th July with a trip to Fulwood Amateurs from the West Lancs League, 3pm KO. The build up will peak with the visit to Brocstedes Park of Unibond opposition in the guise of Marine FC on Saturday 2nd August followed 2 days later by Skelmersdale United, as curtain raisers to the new Vodkat Premier League season, before Nelson FC arrive on the 9th August 2008.

As the Reserves are without a fixture on the opening day, a tough encounter with local rivals Garswood United has been arranged, at Garswood's Simms Road Ground.

Training will continue inbetween the matches on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm at St Edmund Arrowsmith High School - see previous article below. The final Saturday training session will take place this Saturday 19th July.
