WASH OUT FORCES BLANK SATURDAY FOR ASHTON

Ashton’s Vodkat Premier Division fixture fell victim to the weather on Saturday, with the Atherton LR pitch unable to cope with the heavy overnight rain. It was a similar story for the Reserves whose game at Colne Fc was also postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

On Tuesday night, and with a drier weather forecast Ashton will have a good chance to return to action with a league match against Runcorn Linnets FC at Brocstedes Park, 7.45pm KO. Then on Saturday another home match against Abbey Hey FC, whilst the reserves travel to play Atherton LR Reserves both are 3pm kick offs.
