Managerial changes

Assistant first team manager Steve Pilling has stepped down from the position after 3 years working closely with David Powell. Steve has been an important part of the Club's progression to North West Counties football, and the Club would like to thank him for his tireless commitment and effort, and hope he will return at some future date.

An announcement about Steve's replacement will be made in the next few weeks.

Meanwhile Reserve Team Manager Chris Richardson has also decided to leave, and again the Club would like to thank him and recognise the efforts he has made in the past season and a half in the role.

The Club are now on the lookout for a replacement for the Reserve's forthcoming season.

The voluntary role will provide an opportunity to prepare and develop players for progression to the first team as well as building the success of the team itself, where last season the team finished fifth in the Vodkat League Reserve Division and were runners up in the Reserve cup final to double winners Glossop North End. The role will include close liaison with the successful youth section of the Club.

An FA coaching qualifications would be expected to fulfil the job and to support the Club’s ongoing application for FA Charter Standard.

The Club, based in Ashton in Makerfield near Wigan has excellent playing and training facilities, and interested parties should contact first team Manager David Powell on 07770 696747, or forward details by email to davmar@btconnect.com before Friday 5th June.
